Beg, Borrow, or Steal: Host a GOOD Party

Are you a fan and follower of all things GOOD? Help us fête the launch of our spring issue, which weighs the economic challenges and opportunities facing us locally and globally, by hosting a party that puts a creative spin on this quarter’s theme: Beg, Borrow, or Steal. We’ll award a $300 grant to the top-voted idea, so start brainstorming your fiscally sound pub crawl, beach bonfire, or rooftop shindig. Consider planning a public salon about economic concerns in your community, or a night of Monopoly board gaming. Then tell us how you’d use $300 to entertain and enlighten your fellow GOOD readers. The winner will receive a grant, plus a stack of 50 magazines—hot off the presses—to share with your guests.

The Party Planning Challenge is open for submissions between March 2 and March 23 (noon Pacific Time). From March 23-30, we’ll open it up to a public vote. Rally your colleagues and friends to get behind your effort and join the GOOD community in deciding which idea is most deserving of the cash to make it happen.

Submission tips:

• Include a photo or video that brings your idea to life.
• Photos should be in JPG, PNG, or GIF format, at least 572 × 346 pixels and no larger than 10MB.
• Write at least 3-5 sentences that explain how the $300 award will enable you to implement your idea.
• Email us at maker@goodinc.com with any questions.

• This Challenge is open for submissions from March 2 to March 23.
• Submitted projects must be able to be activated with $300. Let us know how you’re going to put this money to work!
• Projects will be featured on this page and public voting will be open from March 23 to March 30.
• The project with the most votes will receive $300 to fund their event, and 50 copies of the print issue.
